Title: Senior Contracts Administrator
Duration: 6 months with the potential to be converted to permanent
Location: Sydney, NSW
Rate: $90.27 inclusive of super per hour

Must have skills & experience:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of document control
  • Relevant experience in a contracting construction environment that engages in various subcontractor
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel)
  • Manage the packages under their control and report current position and any change to forecasted completion position.
  • Ensure Cost forecasting for committed subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and management with the greater team
  • Assessing subcontractor claims, invoices and variations and minimising and eliminating
  • Variations where possible ensuring assessment in accordance with the relevant subcontract agreement
  • Preparation of project monthly report including Cashflow, Variances and detailed cost data.
  • Maintain appropriate registers for managing the Subcontracts.
  • Manage Subcontracts to ensure that Code compliance is always maintained.
  • Procurement: including Preparing tender packages, Managing the tender process review, including negotiation of prices and recommendation of award and ensure
  • Subcontracts/agreements are awarded within the required time frame and budget.
  • General Business administration, maintaining registers setting up subcontractors, processing and monitoring of correspondence, attendance at and participation in meetings

Nice to have skills & experience:
  • Leading commercial input into procurement and preparation of subcontract documents.
  • Advanced competency in Subcontract negotiation and ability to assess complex claims and
  • variations.
  • Assess contractual and commercial risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls.
  • Interpret specifications and drawings so as to understand scope of works for the project at Head Contract and Subcontract scope level
  • Assist in the process of identification and quantification of potential Head Contracts variations.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or relevant.
  • Experience in the management of major subcontract packages for large-scale Building
  • projects. (Tier 1 or Tier 2)
  • 2 Years’ experience in a Junior or Senior CA role.
