Currently we have (Permanent) PHP Laravel Developer / AWS DevOps Engineer role available that will be responsible for Software Engineering (60%) & Infrastructure Automation (40%). This Org hosts its customer facing portal on AWS.

Please Note this role can be based anywhere in Australia and offers 100% Remote working.

You will be working on AWS, Docker, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway. This organisation is moving away from PHP and moving to VueJS, creating a new Front End UI

You will enable infrastructure to be deployed and changed by code. You will Enable automation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Backend Software Engineering - PHP/ Laravel (60%)
  • AWS DevOps Engineering (40%)
  • Design, build, maintain and automate cloud infrastructure (highly available and resilient systems)
  • Automate CI and CD pipelines
  • Reliability engineering (monitoring, alarms, incident management)
  • Close cooperation with the development team to streamline delivery

Skills and experience Required:
  • PHP / Laravel Backend Software Engineering Exp
  • Demonstrated DevOps experience - AWS, Docker, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway
  • Good conceptual understanding of VPC and networking with focus on security
  • Knowledge of Linux - Ubuntu and CentOS 
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
  • Proactive & takes initiative, Continual learner
  • Relevant Tertiary Education or Certifications
