Our Client

Is a family-owned business, that has scaled to close to 50 individuals. Working within the higher education space, allows them to play an active part in shaping the next generation, albeit from an indirect perspective. Partnering with a large number of universities and schools across the globe, this client is set to continue to grow and looking to help upskill a mid-level developer

The Role:

We're hunting for a Mid-level Developer to come on board and help mentor the junior developers, whilst also learning from the existing Seniors within the team. This is an exciting time to join, as our client is beginning their journey of migrating from on-prem to Azure, and migrating from .Net Framework to .Net Core. This role can be completely remote, however, you will need to be based in Victoria.

What you'll be doing:
  • Attending team meetings and contributing to group discussions on application design problems.
  • Implement application features based on requirements and design created through group discussion.
  • Contribute to the discussion on technology choice and adopt best practices when working with chosen technologies.
  • Supporting junior members of the development team assisting them with queries on technology usage, coding style, and in some cases the specifics of implementation details and their understanding of them.
  • Provide work estimates regarding both the time required to implement features as well as the risk of implementation to other parts of the software.
  • Assisting in the identification of software bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Engaging in continuous team improvement exercises and online learning/certification
What you'll need:
  • 3+ years experience working with web-based .Net solutions.
    • 1-year experience working with client-side MVVM 
    frameworks such as AngularJS, Angular, REACT, Knockout, etc.
    • 1-year experience working with transactional SQL database engines.
Bonus Points:
  • 5 years working with web-based .Net solutions.
  • 2+ years working with AngularJS.
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience working with Azure and Azure DevOps for CI, CD, and hosting.
