Our Client Is an exciting fintech startup that is looking to scale up their AWS environment whilst assisting their client base to remove some of the struggles of the financial industry, mainly removing legacy technologies
The Opportunity This opportunity will allow for the succesful candidate to work alongside the CTO to build out the security services as well as expand and automate their CI/CD pipelines with their AWS environment. Ideally you'll be from a dev background however should you come from an ops background and still have the relevant experience please do still apply
What you'll do
Provide security techniques and expertise to ensure the infrastructure and software services meet specific security standards
Collaborate with members of the team and product owners to solve operational issues and develop enhancements such as automation
Control and manage the end-to-end deployment processes, working with the dev team to implement and maintain CI/CD practices
Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement to both the Security & DevOps pipelines and processes, and to the Information Security tools, services, and processes
Work closely with senior engineering staff on systems and security architecture
What you'll need To be successful in this role you'll need the following:
Experience working in an agile, DevOps/SecDevOps/SRE environment.
Minimum of 5 years building and managing secure, highly available and robust infrastructure in AWS
Knowledge of setting up, securing, managing and monitoring containerised services in ECS and/or Fargate.
Experience with Cloudformation and Terraform IaC - CDK a huge plus
Extensive experience with git version control, git branching and merging such at BitBucket
Experience in building and defining CI/CD pipelines using tools like BitBucket or BuildKite
Strong scripting skills with Python and bash (Javascript an added bonus)
Experience using Datadog for system monitoring
Extensive experience working with Linux environments (we use Debian variants or AWS Linux)
Preferred Skills
A background in software engineering would be a plus specifically Golang/Node.js
Knowledge of AppMesh a definite bonus.
Experience with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and risk assessments
