Product Manager | Fintech

We are looking for a Product Owner/ Manager to join a small but scaling team in the fintech space, helping the organisation to achieve it's goal of being a global technology innovator, to help build the best possible product, which you will be involved in promoting into the marketplace. 

The role will work internally across business, operations and technology to help make the product and user experience (UX) fantastic. You will work closely with other business units on key opportunities and proposals. You will be responsible for delivering functional solutions to prospects and clients, and ensure smooth integration by successfully coordinating the team’s involvement. 

The company are looking for candidates that want to grow and evolve with the organisation offering some great incentives, both financially and career development opportunities. This will be a covid-safe customer facing role that will promote the cloud-based product into the marketplace.

This would be a great opportunity for some who has strong cloud platform (SaaS) knowledge and wants to work in a consultative/ customer-facing capacity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as the product campaigner, delivering the product into the marketplace, providing client demos, roadmap feedback etc
- Working with the Product Business Analyst, undertake workshops to ascertain stakeholder requirements in the form of user stories to be arranged on a roadmap and enabling further development of the product
- Responsible for the accuracy of internal development planning tools, releases, roadmap, and support testing of the platform
- Working with the Technology Team, ensure that roadmap and sprint planning systems are accurate against releases and milestones, ensuring the work items are logged and tagged appropriately against sprints and releases

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Working on SaaS based products & platforms
  • Previous experience in financial services/ fintech
  • Involvement in creating a clear product vision & analysing metrics to determine success
  • Agile (Scrum) experience, managing product backlogs and retrospectives whilst taking part in sprint planning 
  • Comfortable working in a small team and independently, pivoting around an evolving strategy 
  • Flexible working attitude with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and contribute to key deliverables
This is a permanent role - offices are based in Melbourne CBD, with a flexible working split between home and the office.
